Acorn Build Up: "Path of Peace" (10/24)

Path of Peace

Luke 1:78-79 ("The Message")
"Through the heartfelt mercies of our God, God's Sunrise will break in upon us, shining on those in the darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death, then showing us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace."

One can conclude that there exists a "path of peace" for us as Christians. So why are we so restless? Why do we fret and worry so much? Why are we never satisfied?

Could it be that "...small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it"? (Matthew 7:14)

We want to find the path and the gate. We want to find them, now! We want to know where we're going and how long it will take us to get there. We constantly ask, "Are we there, yet?" Unfortunately, that's not how it works.

Every Christian must take the journey of life "one foot at at time" and be satisfied with that. When we trust God, then we can leave the plotting of the path to His divine wisdom. When we leave the navigation to God, then we can travel peacefully knowing that the outcome is in VERY capable hands.

When our feet leave the path, our peace slips away.
