Hebrews 3:12-13 (NIV)
"See to it...that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily...so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness."
It is sooooo easy to turn away from the living God! The world distracts us. Lies take root. Sin begins to grow. Our hearts harden.
Encouragement is a great heart softener! Daily encouragement exposes sin and uproots lies. Daily encouragement returns our attention to God.
Who are your encouragers? This would be a great time to give God praise for placing these people in your life. If your "encourager list" is a little sparse, I recommend you seek God's guidance in developing an encouragement circle.
Who do you encourage? Encouraging others is a perfect way for Christians to stand out in a crowded world. It rarely costs anything, and most of the time it feels REALLY good!
