Peace
Matthew 5:9 (NRSV)
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
My heart is very heavy regarding the war in Iraq. God led me to this verse. Let us seek peace in every corner of our influence.

As a former Marine and a defender of our country, you understand more than the ordinary person the frustration of the lack of peace. WWI was supposed to be the war that ended all wars. WWII was supposed to complete that goal -- then Korea, then Vietnam, then the Gulf, and now the mess we find ourselves in Iraq. Interestingly enough, Iraq is known as the place where the Garden of Eden was located and many, many other Bible locations. The 20th Century was filled with war and it has spilled over into the 21st Century. Yes, yes, pray for peace.
