Do you remember what it feels like to be chosen?
Picture this: a playground of ten year old boys and girls standing around, anxiously looking at the dirt and shuffling their feet. One holds a muted red kick ball. The team captains are choosing sides for the big game. You hold your breathe, close your eyes tight and secretly cross your fingers behind your back.
"Please pick me, please pick me, Oh God please just let them pick me", you mutter a secret silent prayer.
I'm glad Jesus always chooses me to be on His team.
I know He wants to pick you too. (Oh and guess what, we win!)
Ephesians 1: 11-14
In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession - to the praise of his glory.
